Jenn has years of experience learning from renowned photographers in the field as well as knowledge gained through starting her own business from the ground up. Through mentorships, workshops, internships and participating and creating community events, Jenn gives back to others by “paying it forward” via education opportunities. Jenn’s mentorship program is tailer fit based on the needs of her mentees. It often consists of one-on-one education and training based around photography and business topics. Together, the two of you determine what training and education will best support you when starting your own photography business. Jenn will customize a plan filled with opportunities to practice and experience contemporary lighting set-ups and techniques, as well as cover topics important to you. JDP’s mentorship program often meets once a week, once a month, or as often as you feel you need a dose of inspiration and learning. Jenn has over 6 years of mentoring experience, imparting knowledge to all kinds of ages. She has worked with different demographics including: -
- Young professionals who are ready to start their entrepreneurial journey
- Mothers whose children are now school-aged, who have always wanted to start their own business

The Internship opportunities available at JDP are a great chance to stretch your legs in a field that is of interest to you. Whether you are currently in college studying photography, marketing, sales, graphic design, writing, fashion merchandising, or other art and communications degrees, this is an Internship that will offer on-the-job experience. Jenn typically hires 1-2 interns per season and because she is one of the few boutique portrait studios in the region, spots fill up fast. With so many clients in and out of our doors, it takes a team to sustain the JDP experience! Jenn is always on the look out for great talent and photographers who have a fine eye for contemporary portraiture. She hires hair stylists, makeup artists, marketing professionals, and those proficient in business management and organization. She is currently hiring the following positions:
- Project and Office Manager: Strong sense of organization and customer service experience required for this position. The office manager is responsible for smoothly running the studio, and includes tasks such as:
- Answering the phone/email and handling conversations with clients.
- Managing sales sessions.
- Updating social media, marketing projects, and website changes.
